Sue McGeachie

 Ms. McGeachie develops sustainability-related governance and management models for clients with Deloitte's Sustainability and Climate Change practice. Her experience includes developing corporate sustainability strategies and change management models, and analysing the environmental, social and governance performance of large cap stocks.

She is a former member of the the Sustainable Business Solutions unit at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto, and prior to this, she was a director with Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, where she analyzed and rated companies on environmental, social and governance performance for institutional investor clients, managed bespoke research and ratings analysis assignments and contributed to marketing and product development efforts out of Innovest’s Toronto office. Publications included Finance and the Environment in North America: The State of Play on the Integration of Environmental Issues into Financial Research and Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting and Performance: A Benchmarking Study of Canadian Natural Resources Sectors as Compared to Global Best Practice. She has spoken regularly on global sustainability issues at conferences both in Canada and abroad, and on national television. Her previous experience includes a role as researcher and advisor at the Schulich School of Business (York University, Canada), where her research focused on the sustainability and competitiveness of Canadian business and industry in the new economy. She remained involved in this pursuit as an associate fellow with the Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability at York University until 2005. Prior to this, Susan worked for World Wildlife Fund Canada.

Susan is an adjunct professor with the University of Toronto where she teaches a graduate course in environmental finance, and a director of the Social Investment Organization, for which she chairs the board development committee and co-chairs the mainstream advisory committee. She holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
