Instructors:

Pamela Divinsky, PhD

Pamela is the Director of Junxion Strategy, a firm that specializes in developing and implementing Social Purpose and Sustainability Strategies for profit and mission-driven organizations. Pamela has an extensive career working with leading corporate clients, such as Molson Coors, Tim Hortons, Walmart, Aimia and Purina, as well as national mission-driven entities such as Heart and Stroke Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and Canadian Cancer Society. Pamela has a PhD from The University of Chicago and taught at both Queen’s University and The University of Toronto.
 
Susan Sheehan, MBA, CSR-P

Susan is the President of Leapfrog Sustainability Inc. Susan’s work in clean technology and sustainability strategy spans 20 years. An invited sustainability strategy speaker in North America, Europe and Asia, she is also a sustainability columnist, a speaker for the Climate Change Institute and an MBA from Ivey School of Business. Susan has worked with national and global brands including Philips Lighting, Ingersoll Rand, Haremar Plastic Manufacturing Inc., BASF, Canadian Standards Association, Tembec Forest Products, Queen’s School of Business, Rotman School of Management, Newalta, Conestoga Meat Packers and BPA Worldwide.
 
Steve Boles, M. Sc.

Steve is President of Kazuka Ltd. and a carbon, greenhouse gas (GHG) management expert with over 13 years in carbon science and carbon management.He has conducted GHG inventory audits for dozens of clients, ranging from single-location firms to S&P/TSX 60 multinationals. Steve also develops carbon offset plans, conducts full life-cycle assessments and does risk mitigation and opportunity planning to help clients realize new carbon-based revenues. He is also a seasoned instructor, teaching professionals the fundamentals of carbon measurement and management. Steve has a Masters of Science from the University of Alaska and spent eight years with one of the world’s leading climate change research centres at the University of New Hampshire.
 
Robin Hutcheson, P.Eng., LEED AP

Robin is President of Arborus Consulting, and a renewable energy and green building specialist with more than 30 years’ experience in new and retrofit buildings. He has led over $1 billion in green building and renewable energy projects and has personally developed and commissioned 30 MW of solar energy facilities. His expertise includes certification and commissioning of new LEED certified buildings and LEED certification for existing buildings. Robin is a member of the Canada Green Building Council’s Faculty and Technical Advisory Group as well as a member of the Ottawa Region Chapter’s Existing Buildings Committee. Robin is a P.Eng. from Lakehead University and Ryerson, and a LEED Accredited Professional (AP), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Certified Commissioning Authority (CCA).
 
Liza Horowitz, Vice President, Sustainability Practice, BMIR

Liza is a LEED accredited professional with senior experience in the financial, retail and commercial real estate industries. She is a sustainability and corporate social responsibility strategist who works with cross-functional teams to support a company’s public relations and sustainability goals. She is a member of the leadership team for the UN Global Compact and is on the judging panel for the Canadian Institute for Chartered Accountants (CICA).
