About Our Undergraduate Programs

The School of the Environment offers BSc and BA Major and Minor programs in Environmental Science (Science) and Environmental Studies (Arts). We also partner with other departments to offer Collaborative Specialist Major and Minor programs, and Directed Environmental Minor programs. Our programs integrate scientific, social and ethical perspectives on the environment, transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries.

The School also offers a Certificate in Sustainability, a for-credit undergraduate certificate open to all Faculty of Arts & Science students that is designed to complement any degree or discipline. It is offered in conjunction with any undergraduate program at the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Students are encouraged to pair a School of the Environment program with programs rooted in the traditional disciplines, thus providing the benefits of both interdisciplinary breadth and disciplinary depth. For program details, please consult the Faculty of Arts & Science online calendar.

The School of the Environment's 2032-24 Viewbook offers an overview of our programs, courses, and the student experience. Read about our alumni and where a degree from the School has taken them. From exciting experiential opportunities to learning abroad, the Viewbook will help you chart your path. Check it out and start your journey.
